Support Issues

This page displays any know support issues with the Hosting service we use (Cloud Next) or any information that most of our webmasters should be aware of. We suggest you check here from time to time.

Sending Emails: check your web site

The rules for sending emails from Cloud Next servers have been made more secure as a result of the move to the new hosting platform. Generally it is no longer valid to send an email from a domain using a From email address that does not belong to that domain. It is still valid to have a different Reply To email address.

So in Joomla it is no longer valid to have your own email address set in the Global Configuration. Also JSN Uniform forms should be checked that the From field is valid.

I suggest you TEST any forms on your site

Joomla: Ramblers Library update 2.1.6

Version 2.1.6 of this package is available for update. It contains a few changes.

In the Full Details display of walks it no longer displays email addresses but links to a ramblers.org.uk form. While displaying the email addresses was secure it seemed to worry many walks leaders, hence the change.

The Next Walks (RJsonwalksStdFulldetails) and standard Table (RJsonwalksStdWalktable) display now display an icon for the National Grade of the walk. This is the default option. You can revert to the old display format if you wish. See https://github.com/ramblerswebs/ramblers-library/wiki/Standard-Display-Formats and look for $display->displayGradesIcon=true; or false;

Email Account junk settings

Email Accounts/Mailboxes

If you have set up an email account via the HCP for your domain then you may wish to look at the Junk settings.

The default Junk Mail Filters is set to High. This will flag many valid emails as Junk and put them into the Junk folder.

I would suggest you use the Low setting and then increase it if you get too many spam emails.

Either way look in the Junk folder to see if any valid emails are there.
