April 2024

Today we've had our Surrey Area Council meeting & I was asked to pass on
to you how grateful we all are for the work that you do for us in
keeping the various area & group websites working.

March 2023

Just a thanks for all the great work you are doing!
I for one wouldn’t manage without your help

January 2023

I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year!
I wasn't overjoyed when I realised I had to build a new web site.
My first stop was watching about 20 YouTube videos about Joomla.
Then I bought a £60 book for 65p second hand.
Whenever I got stuck it was over to you guys and you always came up with the goods.
Thanks for all your help resolving my issues!
The site has been a great success and we had our biggest ever group yesterday at 40+ walkers.

November 2022

Thank you for all the support you have given me over the past 7 years. You are a legend.

August 2022

Yes working well now.

I am so impressed with the time and effort that you and Keith have put in to solving this issue. Many thanks.

July 2022

Every opportunity I’ve had, I have asked the Ramblers for an ‘add to diary’ facility on the walkfinder to no avail. I am really impressed that it is now available on the xxxxxxramblers.org.uk website with the list / table / calendar facility as well. Its fantastic, so no more copy and paste for me now!

Thank you again, your incredible hard work involved with these ramblers-webs, it is very much appreciated,

May 2022

You have done a great job rescuing our group website. It looks fine. Thanks for all the support you give our Groups and Areas with regard to their websites.

February 2022

You have done some amazing work with all this.
Some times I wonder why CO don't just use the skills of the members to run the shop and have no people there.
We have lawyers, accountants, engineers, builders, PR people.
Perhaps I am dreaming.

December 2021

I just wanted to thank you for all your support and help over the last 8 years. Without your help it is fair to say that the Sxxxxxxxx website would never have been completed and become established. Whilst I had lots of experience with personal computers (from the days of Apple and 48K!) I had never been involved in a website before. It has been an immensely interesting and absorbing experience. Keep up the good work.

November 2021

Many thanks for your excellent support during my period as Webmaster.

You have always provided me with the best support possible and helped me to provide a good service to the Snnnnnnn Ramblers group on their web site

July 2021

I am grateful for the excellent support that you provided to me and my successor.

August 2020

By the way, we found ourselves violently agreeing what a fantastic job you are doing on all our behalf. Not just with this tool, the whole Joomla site support, Ramblers libraries, monitoring tools, active maintenance of Joomla versioning, etc, etc.

October 2019

I would like to thank you for you extensive involvement in assisting the xxxxxx Ramblers move their website to a new host.

I believe many hours were needed to achieve this, it is much appreciated.

September 2019

I'm pleased to say that all has gone very well with the transfer.  I particularly like your new mapping apps which we are making full use of.  Thanks again for your help and patience.

CakeI thought I would send you this pic. We were celebrating the launch of our new website that you helped us with.
Sorry I cannot send you a small piece.

November 2018

I would like to thank you for all the help you have given me and Chris along the way from start up - from total ignorance in my case - to getting our website live. We effectively integrated 5 websites into one and its all working great! Around 2-3 years ago we considered coming under the Ramblers umbrella but I thought the set up was not mature enough. The difference from then to now is massive and I have the feeling that you had a lot to do with this. Charities need commitment from individuals and you certainly get full marks here.

October 2018

I write on behalf of Uzzzzzzzzzz Ramblers to thank you for all the time and support you have given Brian on the above. I would also like to say how much we all appreciate your efforts on the websites. You should be very proud of what you have achieved. Regards, Alan

November 2016

I would like to thank you for all the help and advice you have given me over my period as webmaster. I well remember the first contact where I got the username and password wrong, and you must have been in total despair and said that I was the first to do that, still I have muddled through.
Your help and advice has been invaluable, it was always a very secure feeling that when all failed, Chris would have the answer,

November 2015

Thanks Chris. I have retired as Programme Secretary after many years and handed over to John, so I don’t need to get the system messages but may need to support John occasionally, if he is away for instance so need to still have access to the website.

Thank you so much for all your support over the last two years. You have been wonderful.

July 2015

Thanks for all you've done for Ddddddddddd Ramblers.
We're well up and running. It's the work of a couple of minutes to copy/paste a brief report of yesterday's walk onto our homepage. Brilliant. Being very well received by our members.
Again, huge thanks.

July 2013

Testing at the moment and found loads of case problems as the site was run on a Windows server before! Almost there. Am away until tomorrow evening but hope to put a ticket in within the next 48 Hrs to transfer from UK Superweb.

Excellent service so far.

Well done!

January 2012

I would like to express my thanks for the patience and assistance for the transfer of the domain name and setting up the web site, especially the finishing touches of adding the maps system.  The cost of the web site to us last year was £175 and there was the possibility of updating Tracklogs, a further £90 -100.  The old discs that we have drawbacks with Vista and will not run on Windows 7.

On the walk yesterday, I had a number of people telling me how they like the screen show and especially the maps on nnnn web site.  They thought it was as easy to use as tracklogs.

Many Thanks,
Alan
