I currently run our Ramblers website using html, css etc and have read a lot about Joomla. There is a lot of information about links to the new walks database from Joomla websites which should eventually save time and give us a more timely site. I have played around with Joomla elsewhere with some success and am thinking about whether to change or not. I have read around the Forums and there is a lot of info. What I am missing totally is how to start. I started to install Joomla 3 so that I could give it a test run and look at the Ramblers template but stopped short of completing the installation when asked for info about the sql database. Should I carry on with the installation or is that something best done by your administrators? Should I raise a support ticket for this? I am happy to continue the installation but am a bit concerned that I may choose some wrong settings. I have no knowledge of scripting or php, just html and css. Do you think it is wise to move to Joomla or should I stay as I am and seek help with html code to link to the walks database if that is indeed possible? Until I am able to see the Ramblers Template, I find it difficult to make a decision. Thanks in anticipation that someone will be able to advise.
