I'm trying to create some web pages that don't appear in the menu structure and can only be accessed via links (whether from within the website or provided to selected members via email).
The information I've been able to find suggests that this should be done by creating a menu item that links to an article in the normal way and setting the option 'Display in Menu' under 'Link type' to 'No'.
I have done this for a page

but the page is being listed in the menu drop-down (and can be accessed from there) even though it is marked as 'Hidden' in the menu items list.
Am I missing something here - e.g. is there a parameter somewhere else that needs to be set or unset?
Any alternative suggestions for achieving the desired effect would be welcome.
