Editing in Front end was created by Charles Hebert
I have set up a Committee User Group as suggested in the how-to topic at
www.ramblers-webs.org.uk/system/interfac...te-via-frontend.html
. This suggests setting rights for Edit and Frontend Editing. The latter is not available for Articles, but is for Modules.
When logged on as a Committee user, with the default editor set to JCE, I can edit Modules, but not Articles. Having clicked the edit icon on an Article, the Article is displayed as for editing, but there are no editing tools, and it's impossible to save the Article. I can edit Articles if I change the default Editor in the Global Configuration to Tiny MCE or to None, With JCE Pro as the default editor I can only get round the problem by making (e.g.) Publisher as the parent of the Committee User Group.- not desirable, although it shouldn't be a problem unless we have an ill-disciplined committee member.
