I appreciate this is quite off-topic, but I wondered what other groups' experience is of the new mandatory online training required for walk leaders. We struggle to recruit walk leaders at the best of times, and we are concerned that the 2.5 hours of mandatory online training will put potential walk leaders off from volunteering. We have a buddy system at Plymouth Ramblers, and that has worked well with optional online training, which we have encouraged our volunteers to do. 

I would be interested to know what other groups' experiences are of training their walk leaders, and in particular of the new mandatory requirement for 2.5 hours of online training.
